Homer The Dog raising funds for K9 protective vests

Homer The Dog is at it again. He has started his "Homer's Heroes" campaign in an effort to raise enough money to purchase protective vests for Harley and Jango, two local K-9 Officers (and patients at Hillsboro Veterinary Hospital).
Harley and his handler, Adam Day, work with the Hillsboro Police Department, while Jango and his partner Craig Seaman are with the Highland County Sheriff's Office. Both gentlemen expressed that a bulletproof/ stab-resistant vest would be of value to their departments and would keep these two important members of our community safe.
Folks can donate by purchasing a Homer car magnet with the "thin blue line" indicating support for law enforcement, or people can donate $1 or more and sign a card for the "Homer's Heroes" wall. Magnets are available and donations can be made at Hillsboro Veterinary Hospital, 941 West Main Street in Hillsboro.
Several artists have donated original pieces for this cause, and there will be an online auction that folks can follow through Homer's Facebook page at Facebook.com/eyeonhomer.
