The Hillsboro Woman’s Club met Tuesday, March 10 at the Highland County Senior Center on Muntz Street.

A program was given by Samuel Knight, a partnership specialist with the Census Bureau’s Chillicothe office. He began with a brief description of the country’s first census count in 1790 and ended with information on how the current census will be conducted. Virginia Purdy also spoke about the local committee’s efforts to see that all are counted.

The club also held an election for the next term starting July 1, 2020 and ending June 30, 2021. Those elected include president Eleanor Williams; vice president Purdy; secretary Donna Armstrong; assistant secretary Rosemary Ryan; and treasurer Betty Ann Walker.
