Hillsboro First UMC to host annual Free Family Fun Festival July 11

Hillsboro First United Methodist Church will once again host our annual free Family Fun Festival Saturday, July 11 from 4-8 p.m. at the church located at 133 E. Walnut Street. The event is free and open to the entire community.
Now in its third year, the congregation of Hillbsoro First UMC is pleased to open our doors for a time family fun for the whole community. The event is aimed at creating a sense of community in Hillsboro as part of the church's "We Love Hillsboro" campaign.
"We have made it our mission to show the community that 'We Love Hillsboro,'" said Jarrod Weiss, one of the event organizers. "The Family Fun Festival is nothing more than good, clean family fun for everyone and we invite our neighbors to come and enjoy a Saturday evening with us. And there's free food. Who doesn't love free food?"
This year there will be five inflatables, carnival games, face painting, music, raffle drawings, free food, popcorn, sno cones, cotton candy and drinks. The Hillsboro PTO graciously donated the carnival games and the Hillsboro High School cheerleaders will be our face painting artists.
