Patti Lengefeld-
On Saturday, March 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Diaper Depot will host a “Spring Diaper Blowout” at Hillsboro First Baptist Church.

Come by and pick up free diapers and play games, do a craft and enjoy a snack. Children of all ages are invited to attend.

There will be prize drawings of $25 Walmart gift cards (four) beginning at 11:15 a.m. There are also prizes for participating in the cake walk, pin the diaper on the baby and other events, even for the very young.

The Diaper Depot, a ministry of Hillsboro First Baptist Church, has been awarded a community grant from Walmart. The Diaper Depot provides free clean, dry diapers to any family needing them. There are no income requirements as the ministry states, “no strings attached.”

Diapers are given out every Wednesday at Hillsboro First Baptist Church (127 S. West Street, Hillsboro) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and during special events the ministry sponsors throughout the year, such as the Spring Diaper Blowout, Diaper Giveaway at Walmart during Ohio’s tax-free weekend and Baby Olympics.

So far, the Diaper Depot has provided families with over 9,000 diapers. Diaper insecurity is real – we consider it an honor and privilege to serve our community through this ministry.

Taking advantage of the free diapers is easy. Clients are asked to place an order by calling (937) 393-1473 or by emailing www.fbcfam@yahoo.com. Then come by Hillsboro First Baptist, 127 S. West Street (park in the parking lot behind the church and use the ground level door off the lot) on Wednesdays between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The Diaper Depot Team prepares the bag of diapers, and clients pick them up.
