At the annual meeting of the Highland County Historical Society Monday evening, Highland House museum director Vicki Knauff predicted the museum would welcome their 1,000th visitor of 2014 within the week.

Knauff proved to be correct, as Sue Boatman was awarded that honor Thursday.

Knauff presented Boatman with a copy of the Highland County Pictorial Book in recognition of Boatman's role in helping the museum reach that milestone.
