Highland County Poultry, Pigs, and Lambs 4-H Club News

On April 7, the Highland County Poultry, Pigs, and Lambs 4-H Club held their third meeting at the Hamer Township building.
Special thanks were given to all members that attended the Extension support dinner, and to Nicholas McCann for helping serve.
The Highland County Poultry, Pigs, and Lambs 4-H Club would like to extend a thank you to all that attended from the community as well!
We were also reminded that the member, officer, and adviser training will be held at the Hillsboro Middle School on April 15 at 6 p.m.
The club enjoyed demonstrations by Kurt Hamilton on "Types of knots, and their uses," and from Jacob Rhonemus on "Proper Potato Planting."

• The HCPPL 4-H Club held its fourth meeting on April 21, 2013 at the Hamer Township building.
Josh Rhoads did a demonstration on "Proper dress for Showmanship," and William Albert on "The parts of shotgun shells and rifle casings."
Special thanks went out to the officers and advisers of Highland County Poultry, Pigs, and Lambs 4-H Club for attending the member, officer, and adviser training held on April 15.
Those officers who attended were, Tyler Chaney, Kurt Hamilton, Jacob Rhonemus, Josh and Brittany Rhoads and William Albert.
Advisers who attended were, Diane Waits, Brenda Higgins, Eric Rhoads and Sarah Albert. Parents in attendance were, Rob Hamilton and Christy Rhonemus.
Other important news: The Poultry Quality Assurance was held April 30 at the Highland County Fairgrounds.
Also, the Highland County Poultry Association will be holding their annual flea market on May 4-5 at the Highland County Fairgrounds.
The HCPPL 4-H members and parents will be helping serve food at the Poultry Association food booth. HCPPL 4-H Club would like to invite everyone out to the flea market for a great find and good time for a wonderful cause.
