The Highland County Humane Society Pet of the Week is Frannie. She is a year-and-a-half old beagle. She had pups at the shelter which have all been adopted. She is a very sweet young lady looking for an active family to call her own.

• The Humane Society rummage sale will be May 4-5 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. each day at the Samaritan Outreach community room in uptown Hillsboro.

Drop-off times for items will be 9 a.m.-5 p.m. daily at shelter on Route 124 east or May 2-3 at the uptown location.
