Highland County Farm Bureau hosts Farm to Fork Dinner July 9

The Highland County Farm Bureau is hosting its first ever Farm to Fork Dinner at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 9 at the home of Tim and Karen Sheeley, 11325 S.R. 506, Marshall.

The Farm to Fork Program is a dinner on the farm to enhance awareness of agricultural food production by bringing the city to the farm to share a meal consisting entirely of locally grown farm products.

Guests to the dinner are given the opportunity to see the farm's livestock and facilities, all while enjoying fellowship with others over a meal prepared with local meats and vegetables.

Dinner tickets are $50 per person or $75 per couple.

Proceeds from the dinner go toward buying canned goods for local food pantries and investing in the "child hunger ends here" (www.childhungerendshere.com) program promoted by country superstar Hunter Hayes.
