Highland County Fair Dahlia Show winners

The Dahlia Show was held at the 2026 Highland County Fair, the winners are as follows:

Henry Hottle, Youth Dahlia Market Bunch; Susanna Hottle, Dahlia Market Bunch (5 stems); Janell Weiss, Dahlia Market Bunch (10 stems); John Grover, Best Novice; Nancy Baldwin, Best Basket; Philip M. Jarrett, Best 3 Bloom; Mark Neel, Best Other; Tracy May, Best BB; Tracy May, Best A; Mark Neel, Smallest Bloom; Janell Weiss, Best Water Lily; Mark Neel, Largest Bloom (Emil Tissot Award); Tracy May, Best AA; Mark Neal, Best B; Janell Weiss, Best Miniature; Mark Neel, Best Ball; Kaytlyn Roush, Best Miniature Ball; Mark Neal, Best Pom; Mark Neal, Best Stellar.

In the Dahlias Artistic Arrangement class, Judy Hatfield won Best in Show for her entry in the "America, America" class, and Larry Moore won Second Best in Show for his entry in "Thine Alabaster Cities Gleam" class.

The show was judged according to the American Dahlia Society rules and classifications.

The next Hillsboro Garden Club meeting will be Tuesday, September 22 at Floral Hall. The evening's program will be the Fall Plant and Bulb Auction and starts at 6:30 p.m.

All gardeners are welcome to join us.
