Highland County Community Action 'Fill the Truck' event Dec. 6

The third annual “Fill the Truck” event for the Highland County Community Action Organization, Inc. will be held on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Walmart in Hillsboro.

Last year, the “Fill the Truck” event collected over 100 toys, and over $900 in cash donations.

Julia Wise said “Highland County Community Action Organization, in coordination with other agencies in the county made sure all donations were properly distributed to the 446 needy families last year.”

In order to continue this progress and broaden our reach, we need your support. Be there for your neighbors in ways both big and small. To donate toys and coats all items must be new with original packaging and tags.

Donation boxes will be located at each entrance of Walmart from Dec. 1 until Dec. 22.

The Highland County Community Action Organization, Inc. strives to empower individuals and families through opportunities and support to achieve their maximum potential.
