Highland County Chamber of Commerce hosts May 1 brunch at SSCC

The Highland County Chamber of Commerce partnered with Fifth Third Bank and Southern State Community College to hold "Let's Do Brunch!" on Friday, May 1, at Southern State Community College in Hillsboro.

The brunch was a part of the group's women's initiative which fosters the growth of professional women in Highland County.

This year's event featured speaker Shari Goldsmith and her dialogue entitled "Finding Your Inner Sass.” Attendees were coached in how to best assert oneself in the workplace and that, despite what roles society forces on women, women are entitled to voice their opinions and pursue a life full of "sass.”

Linens were provided courtesy of The Linen Closet, and brunch was provided by Farmhouse Catering.
