Highland County Buckeyes host successful fundraiser at Family Farm and Home

On June 22, the Highland County Buckeyes of Lynchburg held their 4-H club fundraiser at Family Farm and Home in Hillsboro.

The cookout and car wash event was held to raise money for fair passes for the kids, and the funds collected were solely donations from club and community members. The Family Farm and Home store provided hamburgers and hot dogs and buns, chips, condiments, drinks and desserts from club families.

Despite the rain that started off the morning, it did not stop people from coming out to shop, get their car washed and having a bite to eat. Leftover food was donated to the Highland County Homeless Shelter.

The Highland County Buckeyes would like to give a big thank-you to Family Farm and Home for providing the space and food, along with our club parents and kids for their hard work and to our community for supporting Highland County 4-H, making our 2019 club fundraiser a success.
