Highland County Altrusa chapter receives South Central Power grant

The Altrusa International Branch of Highland County was excited to be awarded a grant from the South Central Power Company Foundation.

The grant, in the amount of $3,400, will be used in a variety of literacy projects in Highland County.

Altrusa provides books for KAMP Dovetail and elementary students in kindergarten, first, second and third grades. Altrusa is excited to promote literacy in Highland County with this generous grant from South Central Power Company.

Altrusa is an international nonprofit organization making local communities better through leadership, partnership and service. Altrusa was founded in 1917. The Highland County club is always welcoming new members who wish to serve their community.
