Health Department offers flu, COVID-19 and other shots

The Highland County Health Department is helping local residents stay healthy this fall with convenient vaccine options.

A drive-thru flu and COVID-19 vaccine clinic will be held at the Paint Creek Fire Station, 204 N. East St., Hillsboro, on Oct. 14 and Oct. 28 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Residents can receive their vaccines without leaving their vehicles.

Fall vaccines are also available at the Highland County Health Department, located at 1487 N. High St., Suite 400, Hillsboro. 

Available vaccines include:
Flu
COVID-19
Pneumonia
Shingles.

Walk-ins are welcome, or residents may call ahead to schedule an appointment.

The Health Department accepts most insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. Self-pay and uninsured options are also available.

Vaccines can help prevent serious illness, reduce the risk of complications, and protect those who may be more vulnerable to illness. Staying up-to-date on recommended vaccines is an important step toward a healthier fall and winter.
