Haunted Hills, Christmas at the Cabin ready for fall season

As Halloween looms closer and closer, so does the excitement increase about the Haunted Hills at Magic Waters.

Located in the woods behind Magic Waters Theatre on Cave Road near Bainbridge, the Haunted Hills is considered the place to be for Halloween scares and fun; and there are just two more weekends to pay them a visit (Fridays-Sundays through Oct. 27).

The torch-lit trail though the woods is scary enough without all manner of entities that show up around every curve in the trail.

Adult admission is $7; children's admission is $4. Group rates are available for groups of 20 or more with advance reservations.

Gates open at 7 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday nights they stay open until 11 p.m. On Sundays, they close at 10 p.m. Haunted Hills is located just of of U.S. 50 east on Cave Road, midway between Hillsboro and Chillicothe and four miles west of Bainbridge.

Christmas at the Cabin opens Oct. 18

Indeed, Christmas at the Cabin is an area tradition.

Folks often are heard saying, "If I haven’t made at least one visit to Christmas at the Cabin, I haven’t had my Christmas!"

Presented in an authentic old log cabin on the Cave Road, the cabin features the finest hand-crafted wares of over 50 artisans from across the U.S. – all for sale for your Christmas giving or maybe for your home. All priced right, too.

"From dolls and toys, to home decor, to jewelry, to clothing, it’s all there. But it’s not just any old day of shopping, it’s a fun experience," said owner Janny Brizius.

Christmas at the Cabin is open daily, except Mondays, starting Oct. 18 (Tuesday-Saturday  10 a.m.-5 p.m. and on Sundays from 1-5 p.m.) On Thanksgiving Day, the cabin has special evening hours of 4-9 p.m.
