Habitat for Humanity volunteers clean up local park

The Highland County Habitat for Humanity would like to thank all of the volunteers who came out on July 17 to help repair and clean up Rotary Park and Evans Field.

Habitat for Humanity volunteers were able to stain all the benches so they will last longer, mulched all of the trees, planted rose bushes, and cleaned out many weeds.

Volunteers also picked up trash around the park.

"It was a fantastic day, great to see so many people come out to help their community," said Sharon Bedard, executive director of Highland County Habitat for Humanity.
