A grand re-opening of the Highland County Habitat for Humanity store will be held April 7 beginning at 10 a.m.
Following a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Highland County Chamber of Commerce at 10 a.m., a reception with drinks, snacks and fun activities for kids will be held until 2 p.m. There will also be raffles for prizes.

Residents and business owners of Highland County and neighboring counties are invited to attend this free event and help celebrate the renovations at the store, which is located at 160 West Main Street in Hillsboro.
The Habitat for Humanity store provides the community with home decor, fixtures, caulking, paint and anything else home-related that may be dented, slightly used or new at a discounted price. The proceeds from the store are used for Habitat for Humanity’s day-to-day operations, small home and community projects and whole house builds.
“We are truly grateful to all the volunteers that took time to spruce up our store to include a new heating system, paint, sales floor expansion, door bins/displays, new counter/front desk area, door installations, lights in the storage area and much more,” Highland County Habitat for Humanity executive director Elishia Krauss said.
