By
Jim Jones-
Growing Greater Greenfield (G3) hosted the seventh annual Oktoberfest in Greenfield on Saturday, Sept. 30.

Events included the breaking of the pretzel on the G3 stage, a Doxie Derby, German and polka music, the children's rubber chicken toss, root beer mug races, a straw maze, face painting, German Food Fair Fest and the John Baal Memorial Bier Garten.

Growing Greater Greenfield is an organization dedicated to improving life in and around downtown Greenfield. The group first convened on Nov. 18, 2010.

Recently, the group has merged and combined efforts with the Heritage Ohio, Main Street, USA program, and had several meetings to establish new goals, with a focus on downtown revitalization and promotion of the wonderful assets, as the rich history, and natural resources available here. G3 will have more opportunity with the resources and assistance available and is excited about the future of G3 and Greenfield.
