Long story short, I started Fancy Farm Girl Boutique because I was sick and tired of being ripped off by the hoity-toity boutique sites with their $35 graphic tees that were pure junk, their $58 raglans that were also pure junk – and the "bargain" boutiques selling from overseas locations, appearing to be American shopping sites, and getting a 3X shirt that wouldn't fit an average third grader.
I have plenty of experience in retail. I understand and appreciate quality. I understand what women are searching for, and I am determined to be that bright spot in their lives.
Women of all ages, personalities, preferences, sizes and body types are catered to at Fancy Farm Girl Boutique. I only sell the highest-quality tees, raglans and hoodies with DTG (direct to garment) graphics that are done by professional graphic artists and designers. My graphics won’t peel and crack; the graphic becomes part of the fabric. My garments are incredibly soft, very well-made and fit everyone like a dream.
My shirts start at $24 for a ringspun cotton crewneck tee. My most popular shirt is the raglan, a tri-blend. You will hear my customers gushing about the featherlight weight and the amazing feel of these shirts. I encourage my shirts be washed in cold water and laid out flat to dry. They will last for a very long time, looking brand-new, if this simple recommendation is followed.
Emmy Lee Jenkins has been probably my biggest blessing. She is the Hillsboro photographer I use for my photo shoots, featuring local women, as models, wearing my shirts. The ladies I choose for modeling are everyday local women. We are nurses, salon owners, office professionals, students, dental hygienists, bankers, mothers and salespeople, and we embrace one another and ourselves as vibrant and unique, beautiful and positive. Jenkins’ talent is so great, that in her photographs, you can see the beaming pride in each of my models’ faces.
The foundation I pride my business on is helping women to feel confident, which I remind them often is the most attractive quality any person can possess. It can start with a simple graphic tee. It really can! I am the only boutique site, at least that I can find, that is truly offering superior quality at a fair and affordable price, to women sizes XS - 5X, without discriminating against anyone based on their size preference, and doing so with absolute joy and pride.
I am currently in business at www.fancyfarmgirlboutique.com, a stunning website largely developed by Maddie Cupp, also local to Hillsboro, whom I was lucky enough to be introduced to by Grow Highland County. Cupp is a talented and incredibly accommodating, professionally trained and university-educated graphic designer. Most people who are Fancy Farm Girl Boutique shoppers have joined my Facebook group, Fancy Farm Girl Boutique, which has grown to 4,400 members in less than three months.
I have started much more than just a place to go when you want a cute shirt. This is a movement of 4,400 women and counting who are making a declaration that we will no longer be ignored, looked over, dismissed or forgotten. Some of my customers’ stories are featured on my website blog. We insist on the best, and by God, now we can get it.
I just might be that somebody who came in to stir things up a bit for these ripoff places that have gone unchallenged for far too long.
