Grow Greater Greenfield announces new mural by Pamela Kellough

Grow Greater Greenfield (G3) has received a grant from the Ohio Arts Council under the Arts Resiliency Initiative.
The grant award is being used for a mural in Greenfield’s historic downtown on the north side of the Merchants National Bank building at 117 S. Washington Street.
The theme of the mural is “Welcome to Historic Greenfield” and is being painted by local muralist Pamela M. Kellough. The mural will feature green fields and the banks of Paint Creek, which represent the earliest days of settlers coming to Greenfield.
Kellough is well known in southern Ohio and has been creating art for 30-plus years. She specializes in interior and exterior murals and has painted murals locally, including Bainbridge, Frankfort, Hillsboro, West Union and Manchester. She was nominated for the Distinguished Citizen award from the Ohio Art Education Association and was notified recently that she was chosen as one of eight winners in the state of Ohio.
G3 is excited to see this mural take shape and hope this will be the beginning of several additional murals in the years to come. The grant money will cover a large portion of the costs associated with the mural but are hoping to raise $5,000.
