Danny Long recreated the ghost of Henry Irwin at 2009 Ghost Walk.
Greenfield Historical Society's annual Ghost Walk will be held Monday, Oct. 11, at 6 p.m. The Old Burying Ground will come alive with the story of the Musson family.
James and Margaret Musson came to Greenfield from Virginia about 1837. Their five daughters arrived soon after with their families.
Daughter Mary Musson married Rice Vass.  Daughter Sarah married John Surber, who was involved in the building and organization of the Greenfield Seminary.
Daughter Julia married Alfred C. Lang, a stonemason who was an original owner of the quarry that later became known as Rucker's Quarry. Daughter Jennetta married Alfred Franklin who owned the Franklin Hotel where the Corner Pharmacy now stands. Later, he ran a boarding house on Lafayette.
Daughter Hannah never married and stayed at home to take care of her mother.
The actors playing the roles of the Musson Family will be Roxanne and Robert Judkins, Susan and Danny Long and Melanie and Eric Salyers.
In addition, a hot dog and chili supper will be served in the Grain and Hay building starting at 5 p.m. This makes a quick supper for those wanting to attend the Ghost Walk. Prices for the supper will be a free will donation.
Come on out to the Old Burying Ground to learn about the pioneers of Greenfield's past.
