Greenfield Area Christian Center receives food pantry donation
The Greenfield Area Christian Center food pantry received a large donation of food from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located in Greenfield. The boxes of food arrived on December 14th and included canned pears, peaches, macaroni and tuna.
“We are so thankful for this generous donation of food items,” said Lanny Bryant, President of the Greenfield Area Christian Center Board of Directors. “There is a huge need within our community, especially this time of year, so this gift will be a huge help in stocking our pantry,” said Bryant.
Over the last few years, the GACC has built a new center which is home to the food pantry, New Directions (the youth ministry) and the Borrelson Chapel. The new center, located on Fifth Street next to the longtime GACC location, also includes a community room that can be rented for special events and meetings. The old building continues to be home to the clothing ministry. The food pantry and clothing store are open to those in need on Wednesday afternoons.

Due to the outpouring of support from the Greenfield community, only about $3,900 remains to complete the finishing touches on the building.

Ministries of the Greenfield Area Christian center include Clothing, Food, Tragic and Transient, Education and New Directions. These ministries would not be possible without volunteer support and the large donations from local churches, individuals, businesses and community organizations.
