The Go Haiti Mission Team is collecting shoes of any size, style and condition to support their upcoming mission trip.
Shoes can be ballet slippers, high heels, tennis shoes, any kind, they just have to be a pair. The mission team has set a goal of collecting 2,500 pairs of shoes. They will be collecting shoes at the Mt. Orab Kroger and Hillsboro Kroger on May 30 from 9 a.m.-noon.
All shoes can be delivered at that time. The shoe collection will continue through June 20.
The Go Haiti team consists of 19 members representing Brown, Clermont and Highland counties. The team will be serving throughout Haiti providing support to the physical and spiritual needs of the Haitian people by providing hope through the Great Commission.
Matthew 28:19-20 Go Haiti was founded by Sardinia residents Daniel and Angela Jean Claude and South Dakota resident Jamie Kenny. The founders have been serving in Haiti since 2007 and continue to lead teams into Haiti. Go Haiti has partnered with Haitian Christian Mission in Fond Parisien, Haiti.
The trip, scheduled for July 30-Aug. 8, will include Vacation Bible School, construction projects, medical clinics and orphanage visits. The current trip is full but the team will be scheduling the 2016 trip soon.
