Gary and Sue Evans to celebrate 60th wedding anniversary

Gary and Sue (Brown) Evans will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary on June 18.

They reside in the Hillsboro area; however, they lived outside of Seaman for over 50 years. 

They have five children:  Rhonda (Tom) Fannin of New Market area, Gary Lee (Tracy) Evans of Leesburg area, Daniel (DawnMarie) Evans of Hillsboro area, David (Zaneta) Evans of Noblesville, Ind., and Rebekah (Gregg) Drury of Leesburg area. They have 13 grandchildren: Brittany Copas, Adam (Jordan) Evans, Jackie (Michael) Gerald, Kelly (Jon) Deardoff, Kari Fannin, Jody Evans (deceased), Victoria Priest, Wyatt (Reagan) Evans, Jaeden and Kinsey Drury, Ellyana, Allison, and Isabella Evans. They also have nine great-grandchildren and one on the way in November.

Gary, after serving in the Army, worked at General Motors in Norwood until closure and then operated his own heating and air conditioning business, Quality HVAC, for over 25 years. Sue retired from Southern State Community College, where she was the Program Manager/Instructor of the “Your Place” Program for displaced homemakers and single parents.  

They have both attended and are members of The United Church of God for the last 58 years. They are celebrating their 60th and looking forward to many more blessed years together.
