Freedom Farm Market extends deadline for Ground Swell program
Freedom Farm Market is offering an exciting new educational program for residents who are looking to lead more sustainable, self-supporting and meaningful lives.
Ground Swell is a six-month educational journey under the guidance of local mentors providing hands-on classes in the art of food preservation, cheese-making, culinary and medicinal use of herbs, honey and more.

The program will help you learn and practice simple ways of preparing healthy food from nearby farms, even on a tight budget. Participants can take home a sample of everything they make.
Ground Swell is funded by a small grant from Ohio State University's Stinner Summit, which will help cover the costs of the program materials. The project intends to support organic growers in Hillsboro by connecting them with consumers interested in eating more locally produced whole foods.
Half-price scholarships are also available with no special application required.
