FFA Alumni conduct largest-ever auction

The 2013 auction was the largest auction yet for the Hillsboro FFA Alumni. Over 700 items were sold at the auction, and more than 700 buyer numbers were given out.
The winter of 2013 marked the 16th year that the Hillsboro FFA Alumni has conducted the annual consignment auction.
The auction benefits the Hillsboro FFA scholarship program, which gives money to any FFA member who furthers their education or starts an agriculture-related business. The proceeds for the 2013 auction were $15,652.34. Over the 16 years, the consignment auctions have provided $123,000 to the scholarship fund.
Each year, many alumni members donate time and effort to conduct the annual consignment auction.
“The FFA program is an excellent opportunity for students to learn about agriculture, business and develop leadership skills," Rick Williams said. "The Rick Williams Auction Company is proud to be a sponsor of this great program.”
Along with the Williams Auction Company donating their time and services during the auction, other alumni members also put in countless hours of service to run the consignment auction, including: Larry Shannon, Keith Surber, Kevin Surber, Coby Vance, Clay Vance, Rick Stegbauer, Shannon Yochum, Heather Cummings and Producers Stockyards.
