The Farm Hands bring bluegrass gospel to New Vienna March 8

The No. 1 Bluegrass Gospel band in America, The Farm Hands, will bring their 2014 Tour to the area Saturday, March 8 at 7 p.m., at the New Vienna United Methodist Church. The church is located at 11576 State Route 28 West in New Vienna.

The Nashville, Tennessee band recently received 14 Bluegrass Music Award nominations including Entertainer of the Year, Band of the Year and Instrumentalists of the Year. They perform on some of the most prestigious stages in America, touring over 150 dates each year. Their current album, "In A Country Town" was named 2013 Album of the Year.

Bass player/ vocalist Daryl Mosley and Dobro player Tim Graves started the Farm Hands in 2011 after a decade of performing as part of Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry.

Mosley is a 2-time Male Vocalist of the Year nominee as well as the award winning songwriter of (Ask The Blind Man) He Saw It All- one of the top 35 Gospel songs of all time. Graves is a Grammy award winner and an 9 time recipient of Dobro Player of the Year award.

The band also features songwriter and Banjo Player of the Year nominee Bennie Boling and multi-instrumentalist Jesse Turner. Boling has written songs recorded by the Oak Ridge Boys, Gene Watson and others. Turner has an impressive resume as a television and studio musician.

There is no admission charge for the concert.
