Maddy Wiseman-
The Fab Five 4-H Club’s most recent meeting was held Feb. 19 at the basement of the Leesburg Friends Church.

The pledge was led by Kalea, and the 4-H pledge was led by Harlee. Then we went to old business and brought up that we will still be collecting pop tabs to be donated to the Ronald McDonald House.

There is a demonstrations list at each meeting, and signing up for a demonstration is a requirement. Officer elections will be held on March 5, and on that day those who are running for an office will be asked to stand and tell your name, what office you’re running for and a short demonstration of why you would like to be this officer.

The enrollment deadline is April 1, and you will need to know what project you’re taking and enroll online by April 1.

Then we went into new business. The club will have to pay $25. The fundraiser we’re doing is bake sales, and we also decided to do snack signups for each meeting.

All the advisers gave their reports that the 2023 Family Guide is available online, or a hard copy can be sent in the mail. New officers training was Feb. 27 from 7-8:30 p.m. across the state, and it was to be virtual and not required.

We also did an activity of parliamentary procedure, and our club got the hang of it really quickly. Then the meeting was adjourned by Hunter and seconded by Spencer.

We also had a window contest on Feb. 26 at the Peoples Bank in Hillsboro.

Our next meeting will be March 5 at 6 p.m.
