On June 10, the Elk House Restaurant, located at the Elks Lodge in Hillsboro, opened its doors for a special Grand Opening Celebration.

They kicked off the night with a Chamber Ribbon Cutting. Soon after, the restaurant was booming with a steady succession of guests filling any open table.

That night, the Elk House Restaurant served a choice of barbecue ribs, chicken or prime rib at a reduced cost of $10.95 per person. Complimentary samples of menu items were also available on each table.

Later in the evening, guests enjoyed live music from Momma Tam and the Hot Blues Band. As guests dined, those in the back room enjoyed a beautiful view of the rolling golf course. Wait staff whirled from table to table, delivering baskets of bread and dinner plates and filling drink orders at the bar.

The Elk House Restaurant is open to the public and is open Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Sunday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you haven’t had a chance to visit the Elk House Restaurant, head over for breakfast, lunch or dinner and enjoy.
