Eastern Brown FFA Alumni holds annual truck and tractor pulls
On Aug. 15-16, the Eastern Brown FFA Alumni held their second annual truck and tractor pulls at the Eastern High School.
They could not have been successful without the support of all the Eastern FFA members and parents, all truck and tractor pulling participants, and the sponsors.

The sponsors this year included: Armstrong Crop Insurance, Semple's Service Center, Russellville Feed, Precision Contracting, Beck's Hybrids/Cody Clifton, Linda's Embroidery and Back of the Shop Screen Printing, T&G Towing/Jay Gross, Brown County Rental, David Vogel Excavating, Jeff & Michelle Puckett, Superior Steel Service, and Southern Ohio Antique Tractor Pullers Association. The support directly benefits the members of the Eastern Brown FFA chapter.
The alumni would also like to recognize the winners of this year's pulls.
For the lightweight trucks pulled Friday night, first went to Jay Gross, second and also Top FFA Member Chance Fussnecker, third Travis Moler, and fourth and Heavy Load Derek Clifton. For the heavy weight trucks first and Heavy Load went to Jay Gross, second Derek Clifton, third David Fussnecker, and fourth Travis Moler. First place in the 2,500-5,000 lbs tractor class went to Gene Aber, second Jay Gross, third Jacob Gross, fourth Tiffany Aber, Heavy Load Nick Shreffler & Greg Shreffler, and Top FFA member Nathan Shreffler.
The 5,010-8,500 lbs tractor class was won by Bob Wheeler, second Rick Shreffler, third Nick Shreffler, fourth John Allen, Heavy Load Kyle Moore, and Top FFA Member Kyle Corrill. For the heavy weight tractors weighing 8,510-15,000 lbs first went to Cody Wheeler, second Kyle Moore, third and Top FFA Member Kyle Corrill, fourth Jake Garrett, and Heavy Load Luke Rhonemus.
