The holiday season will come alive in Downtown Chillicothe on Friday, Dec. 6 from 5-9 p.m. when local businesses host a nostalgic holiday event designed to bring back the warmth and charm of holidays from years past.
This festive celebration will feature a variety of activities for the entire family, with opportunities to shop, interact with beloved holiday characters and maybe even catch a glimpse of Santa and Mrs. Claus as they spread holiday cheer throughout the downtown area.
The event, which is being organized by the businesses in the Downtown Chillicothe area, aims to immerse visitors in a joyful holiday experience, reminiscent of simpler times. Attendees will have the chance to stroll through the heart of downtown, visiting local shops and participating in a wide range of holiday activities that capture the spirit of the season.
Angel Altman, owner of Tea of Life Apothecary, which will be participating in the event, expressed her excitement for the occasion:
"The holidays are a time for coming together and creating lasting memories, and this event is a wonderful way for our community to reconnect and enjoy the magic of the season," said Altman. "We're thrilled to be part of this nostalgic celebration and look forward to welcoming families to all of the local businesses, where they'll find unique gifts and experiences to cherish."
Participants are encouraged to dress in their favorite holiday attire. Ugly sweaters, elf costumes or even your best Scrooge ensemble are welcome.
The nostalgic holiday event promises to be a delightful experience for all ages. Whether you're hunting for that perfect holiday gift, creating new traditions with loved ones or simply soaking in the holiday atmosphere, there's something for everyone.
