Dig into Reading at the Leesburg Library

We continue to Dig into Reading at the Leesburg Library this month. You can still sign up to read and win prizes by stopping in at our front desk. Our programs and prize drawings will continue throughout July.
The Highland County Libraries will be closed on Thursday, July 4th in observance of the Independence Day holiday. Please feel free to use our outdoor book drop to return items.
Our Knit Together group continues to meet every Thursday from 5:30-7 PM. New knitters are always welcome.
On Thursday, July 11 we are going to “Dig into Archeology” at 10:30 AM. Come learn what archeologists do with some hands-on activities & fun. Dawna Jo Kiesling will also be visiting with some healthy nutrition snacks and recipes.
We hope you will join us as we “Dig into Clay” on Thursday, July 18 at 10:30 AM. Listen, watch and learn how to make your own pottery with clay that will be provided. Our adult book group, RRRR will meet at 1:30 pm on July 18.
Our final morning children’s program for the summer, Dig into Reading Grand Finale, will be held on Thursday, July 25. Join us for food, fun & prizes at 10:30 AM.
The last day for our summer reading program for all patrons is Monday, July 29. All kids’
reading logs must be turned in and teen and adult drawing slips completed by this date. All art projects for the Underground Art Contest must be turned in by July 29 as well.
Our Underground Art Show Reception will be held on Thursday, August 1 at 6 PM. Come and peruse the art entries and enjoy some refreshments. The reception is open to all patrons.
There will be no story times during the month of July. Join us, instead for our Thursday morning programs detailed above.
