In recognition of In-Demand Jobs Week, the OhioMeansJobs Pike County Career Center (OMJ) operated by the Community Action Committee of Pike County (CAC) will host a dynamic and engaging event designed to connect local job seekers with high-demand employment opportunities, career training programs and essential support services.

In-Demand Jobs Week is a statewide celebration of the jobs, industries and skills that are in demand in Ohio. This year’s theme, “Get in the Game – Take Charge of Our Future!” encourages community leaders and partners to plan exciting and informative events that inspire enthusiasm and awareness among students and job seekers across the state.

The event at OMJ Pike County will provide attendees with the chance to:

• Learn about employers who are hiring

• Learn about career training and education opportunities

• Receive resume assistance and job search support from the OMJ team

• Access information on available social services and community resources.

In addition to finding jobs and resources, free hot dogs and popcorn will be available for all attendees along with the chance to win door prize drawings.

Transportation assistance is available through the Community Action Transit System (CATS). Pike County community members who need transportation assistance to attend are encouraged to call 740-835-8474 to schedule a ride in advance.

This event is a valuable opportunity for local residents to take the next step toward a rewarding career while connecting with community resources and support networks.
