DAR hears presentation on C.R. Patterson Co.

Mel Haynes recently presented a program for the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) Waw-wil-a-way Chapter at the Grain and Hay Building in Greenfield.

Haynes discussed the former C.R. Patterson and Sons manufacturing company in Greenfield and its family’s many contributions to the community.

Charles Richard Patterson is regarded as the nation’s first African-American founder and owner of an automobile manufacturing company.
