Country Quilters announce raffle winner, recent donations

The Country Quilters Club has announced the winner of the raffle quilt from the 2017 Quilts of Highland County Show, as well as two charitable donations using the show’s proceeds.

Ed Barry of Winchester was the winner of this year’s raffle quilt. Accepting the quilt were his daughters, Lillian and Sophia Barry.

All proceeds from the quilt show, held July 14 and 15 at Hillsboro High School, were used to help local organizations. The club donated $1,000 to Hillsboro High School and $1,000 to the Hillsboro Library’s summer reading program.
