Cody David Waits, Meredith Juliane Summitt engagement announced

David and Karen Waits of Lynchburg are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Cody David Waits, to Meredith Juliane (Juli) Summitt, the daughter of David and Karan Summitt of Paragould, Ark.

They will be married Nov. 2 in Little Rock, Ark.

Waits is a 2005 graduate of Lynchburg-Clay High School and a 2009 graduate of Harding University in Searcy, Ark. with a bachelor's degree in public relations. He is working at Nexstar Broadcasting Group as a traffic assistant.

Summitt is a 2006 graduate of Crowley's Ridge Academy in Paragould, Ark. and a 2008 graduate of Hair Tech Beauty College in Paragould. She is working at the French Salon in Little Rock.

Waits is the grandson of the late Maurice and Anna Ruth Thatcher of Seaman and the late Albert and Waneta Waits of Lynchburg.

Summitt is the granddaughter of Wendell and the late Jennie Eubanks of Arkansas and the late John and June Summitt of Missouri.

The couple will reside in Little Rock.
