Christmas at the Cabin opens Oct. 17

Many years ago, the Bainbridge Fall Festival of Leaves officials asked Janny Brizius if she thought she could open Christmas at the Cabin in time to be a part of their annual festival.
It was done, and has continued every year since.
Folks always know that when it’s Festival of Leaves time, it’s also the opening days for Christmas at the Cabin. Actually, there is a bit of a contest among the Cabin shoppers to see who can be the first through the doors on the first day – which his year happens to be this Friday, Oct. 17. The door opens for shoppers at 10 a.m.
Visitors to the cabin can expect to find hand-crafted wares in many different categories: home decor, Christmas decorations and gifts for every member of the family, all sold for very reasonable prices.
If you happen to be one of the few folks who’ve not been to “The Cabin”, you will find it on Cave Road, just off of U.S. Route 50 midway between Hillsboro and Chillicothe. The cabin will be open from Oct. 17-Dec. 14, daily except Mondays, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and from 1-5 p.m. on Sundays. Special Thanksgiving Day hours are also offered from 4-9 p.m.
