Brittany Chrisman of the Waw-wil-a-way chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution was recently recognized by State Representative Shane Wilkin.

State Rep. Wilkin presented the commendation, on behalf of members of the Ohio House of Representatives, in honor of Chrisman earning the Outstanding Chapter Junior Award.

According to Jane Stowers of the DAR, Chrisman “typed the complete chapter cookbook. This year, Chrisman received her college degree, her son graduated from high school and her daughter graduated from kindergarten.”

“You are, indeed, deserving of this prestigious award, which recognizes you for your outstanding achievements in your community,” the award from State Rep. Wilkin’s office says. “This award is a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on you, but also on your family and your chapter, and your generosity, kindness and positive outlook on life have been an inspiration to all. It is through the unceasing efforts of conscientious people such as you that Ohio has gained a reputation as a state whose residents are responsive to the needs of their communities.

“Thus, it is with sincere pleasure that we commend you on your recent accolade and extend best wishes for continued success.”
