The Leesburg Library’s summer reading program, Every Hero Has a Story, is under way. We have many activities and programs planned for patrons of all ages, and we hope you will be able to join us for some or all of them. Please stop in to sign up and start reading and winning prizes.

There will be no story times during June, July and August. Our special programs for kids will be on Thursdays. This month’s programs include:

• June 4: Amazing Feats of Science at 10:30 a.m. Join us for a fun-filled science experiment program.

• June 11: Bookin’ with Ronald McDonald. Join us for an entertaining show with everyone’s favorite clown at 10:30 a.m.

• June 18: Super Heroes in Nature. Learn about Ohio bats, turtles, spiders and other wildlife at 10:30 a.m.

• June 25: Be a Reading Hero Magic Show at 10:30 a.m.

Our teen group, SPARX, will also be meeting during the month of June. On Thursday, June 18, join Leesburg teens for Create a Comic and Hero Hunt from 5:30-7 p.m.

We also want to remind kids and teens to participate in our art contest this year, Super Heroes to the Rescue. Participants will need to create their own super hero persona and decorate a mask and cape for their costume. Details are available at the front desk.

Other activities this month include free blood pressure readings done by Edgewood Manor on Tuesday, June 2 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. This will be a monthly event, so mark your calendars for the first Tuesday of each month.

Our Knit Together group continues to meet on Thursday evenings at 5:30 p.m. New members are always welcome, so feel free to join the group.

RRR book group meets on Thursday, June 18 at 1:30 p.m. The group is looking for new members, so feel free to join them for some great book discussions.

As you can see, we have some great events scheduled during the month of June. We look forward to you stopping by and visiting with us, picking up some great reads and attending some of our fun-filled programs. Holy bookmark! Have a super summer.
