All aboard the Leesburg Library Polar Express. We encourage our young patrons to continue reading to earn their “golden tickets” for the gift card drawing which will occur during the Polar Express Experience on Saturday, Dec. 6. Details for this reading program are available at the front desk. The last day to earn a golden ticket is Monday, Nov. 25. You must be a registered Polar Express Reader to participate on Dec. 6.

SPARX, our teen book discussion group, will meet on Thursday, Nov. 6 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. All teens grades seven and up are welcome to attend. Snacks will be served. Please note the change in date for this month only.

Knit Together will meet on Thursday, Nov. 6, 13 and 20 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Bring in your current project and join us for a time of conversation and knitting.

We will be hosting a card-signing station to help spread holiday cheer to service members, veterans and their families called Holiday Mail for Heroes during the month of November. Details are available at the front desk. Join us to help wish our service men and women around the world happy holidays.

The staff at the Leesburg Library cordially invites all Leesburg area veterans and a spouse or guest to stop in on Saturday, Nov. 8 for a Continental Breakfast Open House from 9-10 a.m. It’s our way of saying “thank you for your service.”

The library will be closed on Tuesday, Nov. 11 in observance of Veterans Day. Please use our outdoor book drop box if you need to return materials.

The RRR book discussion group will be meeting on Thursday, Nov. 20 at 1:30 p.m. We hope all members will be able to attend.

Our story times continue Thursday mornings at 10 a.m. for the Wee Ones (ages 6-36 months) and 10:30 a.m. for the Tater Tots (ages 3-5). We will be having many holiday themes coming up so we hope you will join us for lots of fun with your little ones. Themes for November are Donut Month, Stone Soup and Being Thankful.

The library will close at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26 and remain closed on Thursday, Nov. 27 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. We will reopen on Friday, Nov. 28. The Leesburg staff hopes you have a month filled with food, family and fall-time fun. See you soon.
