It’s Summer Reading Time, and our theme this year is “Every Hero Has a Story.” We hope all kids, teens and adults will join us on Saturday, May 16 from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. for our Kick-Off Cook Out. Come in and sign up for the program for your age group and have lunch on us. We’ll have hot dogs and other treats for patrons of all ages. While you’re eating your lunch, you can learn about all the programs, contests and prizes we will have for you throughout the summer. If you can’t join us on May 16, you can still sign up for the reading program any day we are open after May 16.

Children’s story times continue on Thursday mornings at 10 a.m. for Wee Ones (6-36 months) and 10:30 a.m. for Tater Tots (3-5 years). Themes for May include: Mother’s Day, Every Hero Has a Story and Be a Super Hero. Thursday, May 21 will be our last story time until September. However, we will be having our summer reading programs for children every Thursday morning at 10:30 a.m. in June and July.

We will be closed on Monday, May 25 in honor of Memorial Day and our veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Please feel free to use the outdoor book drop to return items.

The library staff is looking forward to seeing you throughout the summer. We hope you will be as excited as we are to celebrate the hero in each of us with our fun-filled summer reading program.
