Check It Out: Leesburg Library invites teens to join book group
April is National Humor Month, so kids can help us celebrate by telling the staff a joke when they visit. By doing so, you will put a smile on our faces and earn a trip to the prize drawer. We’ll have some joke books available to assist in picking out that perfect knee-slapper.
Our Knit Together group continues to meet every Thursday of each month from 5:30-7 p.m. Bring your current project and join us for some friendly knitting. New members are always welcome.
SPARX, our teen book group, meets on Thursday, April 9 at 5:30 p.m. Any Leesburg area teen is welcome to attend. We will be discussing the book “The Fault in Our Stars” by John Green. Join us for some food and fun.

We will be celebrating National Library Week at the Leesburg Library from April 13-18. We’ll have contests for patrons of all ages and a special treat to share with our wonderful patrons each day. Come and visit us during this special week.
RRR adult book group meets at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 16. Please feel free to join them for a lively discussion of the book “The Irresistible Blueberry Bake Shop and Café” by Mary Simses.
We continue to have lots of fun at our children’s story times on Thursday mornings. Our Wee Ones (6-36 months) meet at 10 a.m., and Tater Tots (3-5 years) meet at 10:30 a.m. Themes this month include It’s Eggciting, Jump for Joy, That’s Good Eatin’, Pirate Party, and Let’s Go to the Beach.
