CHECK IT OUT: Leesburg Branch Library plans 'After Christmas' book sale

The Leesburg Library staff would like to take this opportunity to wish all their patrons a very Happy New Year. We look forward to serving you all in 2016 and hope we will see you often during the upcoming year.

The library will be closed on Jan. 1 and 2 for the New Year holiday.

We will be having an “After Christmas” Book Sale in our Community Room from Monday, Jan. 4 through January 19. Please stop in and peruse the assortment of books that are for sale.

Our Knit Together group continues to meet every Thursday from 5:30-7 p.m. This month, our meeting dates are Jan. 7, 14, 21 and 28. Please feel free to join the group regardless of your knitting expertise. New members are always welcome.

SPARX (our teen reading group) meets at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 14. The group would like to welcome any teen grades seven and up to join them for pizza, pop and fun. The book being discussed is “The False Prince” by Jennifer Nielsen. Pick up a copy at our front desk.

Story times resume for Wee Ones (6-36 months) at 10 a.m. and Tater Tots (3-5 years) at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 15. Topics this month are Rock Out With Rocks, What’s That Sound and PJ Day.

We will be closed on Monday, Jan. 18 in observance of Martin Luther King Day. Please use the outdoor book drop to return materials.

Our adult book group, RRR, will meet on Thursday, Jan. 21 at 1:30 p.m. New members are welcome.
