CHECK IT OUT at the Leesburg Branch Library

There’s a feeling of Christmas in the air here at the Leesburg Library. Our December is filled with great holiday books, activities and fun.
We hope you will be able to join us for some of the programs planned for this month.
Our Knit Together group will meet on Thursday, December 4, 11 and 18 from 5:30 to 7 PM. Please bring in your current project and join us for knitting and conversation.
The Polar Express Experience will be held on Saturday, December 6 at 11 AM. This program is only for those children who have previously signed up for this reading program. Refreshments will be provided for parents while their children take the “train ride” to the North Pole.
SPARX, our Teen Book Discussion Group will meet on Thursday, December 11 at 5:30 PM. The book being discussed is Trapped by Michael Northrop. All teens are invited to attend and share some holiday cheer with us. Remember to bring your “White Elephant” gift for the gift exchange.

The Leesburg Library will once again host the presentation of the King and Queen during the Leesburg Luminaria festivities on Sunday, December 14.
The presentation will be held at 5:45 PM with open house receptions continuing at the Library and area businesses until 7:00 PM. A community church service will follow the open house at Fairfield School.
Our adult reading group, RRR will meet on Thursday, December 18 at 1:30 PM. Please contact a member for more details.
Story Times continue on Thursdays. This month’s themes include Jingle Bells, O Christmas Tree and Candy Cane Day!
There will be no Story Times on December 25, January 1 and January 8 due to the holidays. We will resume story times on Thursday, January 15. Wee Ones (0-6 months) meet at 10 AM; Tater Tots (3-5 yrs) meet at 10:30 AM.
The Library will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day as well as New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Please use the outside drop box when returning items on days we are closed.
