April is National Humor Month so kids can help us celebrate by telling the staff a joke when you visit. By doing so, you will put a smile on our faces and earn a trip to the prize drawer. We’ll have some joke books available to assist in picking out that perfect knee-slapper.

Our Knit Together group continues to meet every Thursday of each month from 5:30-7 p.m. Bring your current project and join us for some friendly knitting. New members are always welcome.

Dawna Jo Kiesling from the Highland County Extension will share a display about healthy eating tips on Thursday, April 4 from 10 a.m.-noon. Come and get healthy!

SPARX, our teen book group, meets on Thursday, April 11 at 5:30 p.m. Any Leesburg area teen is welcome to attend. Ask for details at the front desk.

We will be celebrating National Library Week at the Leesburg Library from April 15-20. We’ll have contests for patrons of all ages and a special treat to share with our wonderful patrons each day. Come and visit us during this special week.

RRR adult book group meets at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 18. Please feel free to join them for a lively discussion.

We continue to have lots of fun at our children’s story times on Thursday mornings. Our Wee Ones (6-36 months) meet at 10 a.m. and Tater Tots (3-5 years) meet at 10:30 a.m. Themes this month include Brothers & Sisters, It’s a Surprise!, Upside Down and I Can Dress Myself. Please feel free to call or ask us about story times if you have any questions.
