The Scott House is the new meeting place for the Brush and Palette Art Guild which meets the first Tuesday of the month.

If you were near the Scott House at 338 Main Street on Friday, May 3, you may have noticed a lot of activity on the lawn. After all the new lawn care and sprucing up, 10 members of the Brush and Palette Art Guild came to brush up on some Plein-Air Painting. (Plein Air just means painting outside.)

The guild's new relationship with the Scott House will give the guild and other area artists the opportunity to display their work throughout the year with many new activities planned.

• June 22-23 will be the Art Guild's 56th annual show from 1-6 p.m. each day at Southern State Community College's Central Campus. There will be refreshments, an art sale, and a silent auction. (No admission.)

For more information about the Scott House, contact Jill Yochum at (937) 402-7008, Scott House Committee, or Judy Mason at (937) 403-7885.
