Brownie Troop 134 in Hillsboro participated in the Girl Scouts' Feed the Heartland Program in November.

Feed the Heartland is a council-wide service project focusing on learning about hunger issues that impact our community.

Girl Scouts can earn patches in a variety of ways such as supporting and volunteering at a local food pantry, organizing a canned food drive, donating canned food items, or volunteering at a local soup kitchen.

The members of Troop 134 were able to organize and collect over 100 canned food and non-perishable food items. The troop would like to extend a warm thank you to all those who supported their mission and made this donation to a local food pantry possible.

Thank you and Merry Christmas!
