Boy Scouts of America Venture Crew 120 recruitment day Nov. 19 at SSCC

Boy Scouts of America Venture Crew 120 will be having an open house and recruitment day Saturday, Nov. 19 at Southern State Community College Lecture Hall, Room 107 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

The Venture Crew is a co-ed group focused on firearms safety and competition for those interested between the ages of 14 and 21 years of age. 

Crew 120 meets at the Clinton County Farmers and Sportsman Association near Wilmington twice a month.

In the upcoming year, the Crew plans to offer Basic Rifle Classes and, depending on interest, Basic Pistol and Basic Shotgun classes for participants. 

Upon completion of the basic course in the participant’s chosen discipline(s), they will be given the opportunity to engage in intramural competitions as well as club, state, regional, and national competitions.
