The Highland County Board of Developmental Disabilities was recently honored by a donation in memory of an outstanding employee, Bonnie Senter.

Bonnie passed away Jan. 4, 2015, leaving many dear friends she worked with and treated as family. She loved her work as a vocational trainer and made coming to work a fun experience for all.

When orders increased and products needed to be out quickly, Bonnie would roll her sleeves up and motivate everyone, often playing her “oldies” music – and always with a smile.

Recently, her family visited the Highland County Board and presented a check, representing memorial donations from her friends and family, in memory of Bonnie.

The funds will be used to directly benefit programs that her clients enjoy.

The board wishes to thank the Senter family for their donation, but mostly for the years she dedicated to serving adults with developmental disabilities.
