Blankenship earns Bob Shanks Award

Naomi Blankenship (center), daughter of Leon and Susan Blankenship, is pictured accepting the Bob Shanks Outstanding Youth Award before the beef sale at the 2009 Highland County Fair. A $1,000 scholarship goes with the award, which encourages exceptional youths to continue their education and possibly return to Highland County to work. Blankenship is a 2009 graduate of Lynchburg Clay High School and plans to attend the University of Cincinnati – Clermont College.
